for better results image needs to be fixed with "canvas size", just -1 px height and -1 px width. if image size is 2000x2000px, you need resize to 1999x1999px. this is just a trick, photoshop sometimes returns bad random results because pixels is not a real numbers, for example shows 2000px but really its may be 2000.3px, ill try to fix it in the next Snow2 update/release.

Snow workes well with my images. I tried it with a full transparent image, and got a snow image on a transparent background. I was trying recoloring as an option. That worked. I also warped the image to get smaller flakes at the top and larger ones at the bottom. I haven't applied it as yet. Rich
